I brought my Tucson into the dealer for an oil change and was told that they were going to do a safety recall concerning a brake light switch (a safety isuue). About two weeks after the ESP light went on again and the recall was redone. Around another week or so after that the same thing happened at which point I was told that the "technician failed to put the part in correctly". I find this more that slightly disturbing especially on a safety recall.

I have been mulling over who to contact regarding this, options include NYS Dept of Motor Vehicles and the Suffolk County District Attorney or the NYS Attorney General. Atlantic Auto Group is apparently too busy trying to upsell bogus work rather than address legitimate customer care issues. Fortunately neither I or anyone else was injured as a result of their negliance. I afraid tat someone else may not be so lucky as I was. The recall notice specifically stated that this issue could result in a crash

My leased 2005 Infiniti G35x had brake & acceleration problems which I reported during the first month of the lease. Both the maintenance dept & the dealership denied the problems & claimed the cars performance was normal for a sports car. I've been driving sports cars for 30 years & never experienced these problems.

My Infiniti was in a major accident in 2007 as a result of brake failure. My claim was denied & my mechanic said that I would have to get an expert witness & a good attorney if I wanted to prove design error.
