Sounds great, but some of Nemet's customers aren't so impressed, as the complaints in this section indicate. A selection of assorted recent complaints appears below, while categorized beefs are listed to the right. Danielle of Narrowsburg, NY January 7, 2009 I purchased a car from Nemet in June of 2008. I had seen the Infiniti g35 on their website advertised for 13,500 before taxes. However when I got to Nemet and talked to the sales man he told me the car was 15,995, which was quie a bit more than the online price. When I told him about the online price he told me he would give it to me for the 13,500 if I came back the next day to finalize everything. I agreed and returned the next day with my mother to finalize the paperwork. When we arrived we were informed that our sales representative wasn't there that day and we were going to be taken care of my someone else. This man was completely rude to the both of us and even made us switch our seats while trying to make another sale! He kept trying to talk us into switching insurance companies when he couldn't get a hold of ours right away. Finally, after waiting three hours for a finance manager we were lead across the street and into the man's office (Cannot remember his name right now). Once in his office we were informed that the price we would be paying was 15,995. My mother refused stating that she wanted the price originally promised to me by the Sales Associate. They than told us that they could not agree to the 13,500 and would only agree to the amount of 14,400. I had my heart set on the car so my mother relented and agreed. We gave them a down payment of 3000 but than was pushed to purchase an extended warranty for an additional 1500 stating that we "needed" the coverage. We were than rushed through the signing process and led to the garage to pick up my car. Nothing was explained to us about how to move the mirrors or anything. After leaving Nemet I noticed the gas gage was on Empty! We didn't even have enough gas to go back to Nemet and complain so we pulled up a gas station to get some. When i went to pump the gas I couldn't open the gas door, so I looked for a button or lever inside the car. To our dismay there was none and when we called Nemet they said just push on the corner, which we had already tried a million times before. Nobody at Nemet knew how to open the gas door! After 2 hours of being stranded at the gas station a man helped us and found the lever. Nemet didn't even seem to be bothered by the fact that they knew nothing about the car they had sold me. Than when my mother opened the glove compartment to see if there was manual garbage fell out! They hadn't even cleaned the car for us. I went to trade in my car today at another dealership and found out that my payoff was 4000 more than it should be. My mother asked the bank why and he said that there was added fees on there and he didn;t know what they were for and asked if we had purchased the warranty. We did purchase the warranty but we paid cash for that on top of the down payment in order to keep my payments low. We called Nemet several times and no one will talk to us about where this extra 4000 came from. Hopefully we will be able to resolve this and get our money back, but we will never do business with Nemet ever agin and would not recommend them to anyone either. I was sold an Xterra that was a 2 wheel drive. I had no idea. When I found out I came and complained about what had happen. No one cared. Then I was driving the Xterra and the tire blew. I had no idea how to get the spare tire down and none of the men who tried to help me could do it either. I had to buy a tire due to lack of knowledg of my automobile. I went and complained again about the salesman not doing thier job. The GM agreed and gave me a check to cover the cost of the tire that I brought. This was hush money. Nemet has sold me a car that is not worth the amount that they have stuck me with. I have had many problems with the Xterra 05 and when I go to complain to sales or service I do not recieve any help. Ali has been very nasty and fliped me the finger. Seth coned me when I brought the Xterra at 30,000. Ian the sales person thinks it is very funny when I come back again and again to complain. I work very hard as a teacher and I teach students to be honest and fair. When I think that someone taught this Nemet gang how to cheat and steal and stay in bussiness I am sick! Best advice dont buy a car used or new from Nemet Norman of Little Neck, NY November 30, 2008

The next day I returned to the dealership he said that he mailed the document to my address.I did not recive the document for my car until the 17th of November. Just to find out after paying the in full I recived a balance of 10,500 including 600 for packages I did not request in the purchase of my car.I reported back to them and told them the extra fee added to my bill was not requested by me. I kept on going back to them to reslove the problem. They kept giving me a run around until finally I had to speak to the Genral Manager. He told me that I could not buy a car for that amount of money without taking the package that they put on my bill. After speakin with another customer I found out im not the only customer this trick played on . She also was a victom. She told me to go on web and check out comsumers affairs.com where I realized that past customers of nemet have gone threw the same struggle.I waz left with a monthly payment of 642.44 with a 7.99% intrest fee. When I went to purchase my vehicle I put a cash down payment of 10,200 thinking it would lower my payments, but you know what those thiefs did they added all these options I had no idea about, they never explained anything, when I came to realization and aked the fianance manager replied don't worry that's just for our purposes, we will take care of you, ofcourse being a first time car buyer and a young female at that I probably just had the word prey written on my forehead I took their word for it because they were really nice and I truely thought they had my best interest at heart. What an easy kill I was. My car payment is 579 a month with 4.0 financing for 5yrs so I will be paying 44956 for a 31900 vechicle. Ofcourse I had no idead what they had done until I looked over the contract showed to a couple of friends and they explained it to me. What they had done was added drivecare for 995, EPP ETCH for 2790 and VIP for 2500, I had now idea what these things were or what they were for. When I asked about the VIP Mr. Lou Pierro said don't worry once you pay over 25000 for your vehicle you atomoticaly get VIP for free. At the time of purchase I asked him why it showed 2500 he said that was for their purposes, not to worry. For awhile I went back over and over again to speak with them and everytime I would be told don't worry we will see what we can do or some run around answer. Ofcourse they alway prentend or act like they will help, but they never do. After speaking to a lot of people over and over again they told me to just give up, but you know what I will not give up, they took my money, my sweat and blood went into all those long hours of neglecting my child, working two jobs to save up that money and for that car dealership to just take it from me. There is a saying God don't sleep and I want you to know out of the three individuals involved in my purchase one of them has kiddney diease and the other got fired, there is only one more left for God to take care of. I am a single mother with a child to take care of that money was suppose to be a downpayment for a house but since house prices was so high I just figured hey atleast we won't have to wait on line for the bus or the train in the cold anymore. It's been over two years and I am sitll greiving about this. Finally someone said file a complaint with consumer affairs, the better business bearu and the Attorney's General office so here I am. Jeffrey of Middle Village, NY October 21, 2008
That was only the beginning. I recently brought my Elantra in for the 3 month oil change. Even though I felt it was unnecessary to begin with, I wanted to keep the car in good shape. First, the service assistant manager Cynthia Ambrose tried to get me to purchase some sort of 124 point checkup for a few hundred dollars. When I told her all that I wanted was a simple oil change she gave me a bill for 57 dollars. I told her my first oil change was supposed to be free, but she said I needed some sort of a coupon for that. I reluctantly paid the ripp off fee of 57 dollars and went on my way. A few days later I reflected back and decided to give the General Manager Scott Pearlman a call. When I did, he apologized and said my next oil change would in fact be free and to contact him if anyone gave me a problem about it. The last issue I faced with Nemet Hyundai was just last week. I brought my car in after it was hit on the front end. It suffered severe damage and actually needed to be towed to the service center. My first complaint was that the air bags never deployed! The whole front end was smashed in and completely destroyed. Neither myself, the police nor my cousin who runs the body shop I planned on using to repair the car could believe the air bags did not deploy. Wayne, the service manager had no explanation and actually informed me to call 1800 Hyundai or call the corporate headquarters for an answer (in other words get the run around). I had the car towed to Nemet because I was not sure whether or not I had to use Nemet Hyundai's body shop in order to keep the car under warranty (i.e. use Hyundai genuine parts). I was told I could use my cousin's body shop but Nemet would provide me with an estimate from their body shop anyway. I said OK and two days later I was slapped with a 350.00 tear down fee and a quote for 8600.00!!! My cousin's shop came in with a quote for 4200.00, and thats not because of family ties or anything. When I questioned why I was not informed of the 350.00 tear down fee, Wayne claimed that I should have been informed of it when I purchased the car. I brought my salesperson Oksana over to the service bay to ask her to clarify with Wayne that I was not informed of such a fee and she spoke with him in private but nothing was resolved. In fact I heard laughing in the room! Then the two of them and Cynthia Ambrose basically verbally attacked me and told me I could not have my keys unless I paid. In order to just keep things calm I decided to once again get ripped off by Nemet Hyundai, and pay the 350.00. I will never go back to Nemet for anything again. Dean of Brooklyn, NY October 13, 2008

Once we got home, we then realized that the price of the car went from 18000 to 20,500 after reviewing the Contract which Seth Levitt had purposely stapled so we could not read it in his office. The next day when we went in to see this Con Man, he said the manager wasn't there and that he couldn't do anythign about it. We then spoke to another Finance Scammer who tried to sell us another type of warranty to substitute the Etch Protection. We just wanted our 2500 hard earned dollars back, but they wouldn't hear it and so the story goes on with no ending.........Please car buyers, do not buy or recommend anyone to do business with Nemet Motors, they are only out for themselves and to cheat customers out of alot of money, especially in the minority community where those whose first language isn't english or someone they interpret as a stupid immigrant Report Your Experience
