Auto Center, Reseda, CA
J.S. of Lake Oswego, OR, writes: In December of 1998 I traded in my Honda CRX (which I owned) to Magic Auto Center for a 1993 Jeep Cherokee. I have had nothing but problems from them since I purchased this car. These are the issues: 1) They said the car hadn't been in an accident and we have since found out that it has 2) To date, I have not received my payment coupons from them as promised and they keep changing the monthly payment each month, etc., 3) I have not received my registration from them for the car. 4) I moved to Portland, Oregon in February 1999, went to the DMV up here to register my car, filled out the necessary paperwork and mailed it to Magic Auto Center to take care of (since they are the lien holder), and they are refusing to sign for me to register the car in Oregon. Magic Auto Center needs to be investigated. All payments are current so that is not the issue. Anything you can do would be greatly appreciated. We are incurring many dollars in long distance phone charges trying to talk to them. Also, I have the car certified at the DEQ station which will be expiring, as well as an extension on getting my car registered.
