patricia of arlington, MA August 19, 2009 tried to purchase a 2009 chev malibu. several instances occured during this transaction that were a fiasco but when the owner stepped in it got worse. I am a repeat customer so they offered me a 200.00 refund on 8/8. But on 8/10 apparently I was no longer a good customer because they took it back. they did not offer to locate me a black car till I said cancel the deal. on 8/11 they found a black car but it was 300.00 more which they said they would absorb. when I showed up that day to go over the final numbers again I no longer had the 200.00 they said it was going towards the extra 300.00. I said I did not want the warranty, sealant they said they could not make the deal without my purchasing what once was an option. on 8/11 they debited my visa account the downpayment. on 8/12 they call back and want to know if they can go ahead with the paperwork, I asked about the warranty they said they had to call back. they did call back and said they took off the warranty. I stopped in again on 8/15 saying since this was a CARS program they are supposed to release the car. they said they would not without my being approved first, I also mention they are suppose to give me the salvage rebate they said no. At this time the F word is heard coming from an office several times. I write up my timeline of events and state my concerns. My husband provides to the owner on 8/17. He does not contact me until 8/19 and wants to know if they can go ahead with the paperwork. I asked if I was getting my car - he said it could take a month. I said the program says you have to release it if it is on the lot. He asked if I was in business would I release a car without the rebate back, I said I would have looked into the program before I advertised. He said, are you trying to tell me how to run my business I said when it comes to the program apparently I have to. He said I am cancelling this deal and will give you your money back. I also cannot find where to email gm or chevrolet to complain to them. please advise. Report Your Experience
