Inside Jiffy Lube

M. of Sandy, OR April 22, 2009

Took my car in for an oil change. of course it needed "other things" - air filter & some valve. On my way home the car started making this terrible screeching noise. We thought it was the serpentine belt so we had that replaced. The noise continued, so in an effort to keep the noise down I was continually riding my brakes & keeping the RPM's up to 1500-2000. Finally after 2 weeks we took it to a dealer! WHOEVER had disconnected a hose for whatever reason FORGOT to reconnect it. This in itself may seem a little petty, MAYBE a simple mistake of forgetfulness bit this is the SECOND time in different vehicles in DIFFERENT states! JIFFY LUBE TRAIN YOUR PEOPLE! Yes, I would like the money back for a belt I didn't need & the cost of taking it to the shop, now I will also have to replace brake shoes as well. More & more people are telling others to stay away from Jiffy Lube...now I will be one of them!

A few days ago I reported that my engine seized up less than five minutes after leaving #2072. I am glad to report that Jiffy Lube has stepped up to take responsibility. They are repairing my vehicle and and replacing the engine. District Management has been very up front and helpful. Look forward to getting our van back in a few days.

Went to #2072 in Olympia, Washington yesterday for an oil change on my 2003 Mazda MPV. Three minutes after leaving the oil light came on. I called Jiffy Lube to tell them I was diving back. about a minute later the engine seized up! The manager asked where I was. By the time he reached me, he said it was easy, All he did was follow the oil trail from my van.

After speaking with his D. Manager, I was told that I would be given a ride home with my family. Because the car rental company they work with is closed on Saturdays. I kindly told the manager it was in his best interest to get me a rental vehicle from another place. His D. Manager said ok. The van is at a repair shop. I look forward to having my van fully repaired. That is what I expect. After all, it only took Jiffy Lube less than five minutes to destroy the engine.

I went to get an oil change at 8:15am at Jiffy Lube told me 20 minutes to get in. Did not get done until 9:45am Wednesday, April 1, 2009. Next morning leaking radiator fluid. A trail of fluid in the drive way. Have pictues. Got my son to check and radiator cap not put on tight.

I am a senior citizen and having to wait that long and then the next morning fluid down the drive way. I don't know what damage might have occoured. Waiting to see.

I was much surprised to pull up and no one came out to greet me for 10 min. I am a frequent user of this location. Once inside things changed rapidly. The manager Jason came over to appologize for the delay, as two of the mechanics called out. It was very busy. He made every effort to take control of the situation. H reported the last visit they must have overfilled my power sterring fluid, and offered to remove the excess. This took a few minutes after the oil change was complete. He was vewry accommodating and explained that he has just taken over this location and needed to let 8 men go for various reasons. I do bring 3 vehicles to this location and I would hope they are all very well trained, I do not wish to have any future problems.

I had my oil changed just before my travel to Florida on this vehicle, and did trust that they checked all that was necessary, but apparently they overfilled the power steering fluid. Just to let you be aware of what happens at this Ct. location.

Squeeling hum when steering, which has been remedied, by removal.
