Inside Jiffy Lube

Darren of Leamington OTHER (06/21/08)
the oil filter was not on tight enough and came off while my car was on the highway and blew the engine.

the engine in my car is blown and it is going to cost me a fortune to replace it. I really did not want to make a complaint because I use to work with at this shop 10 years ago.

I came in for an oil change and was recommended a fuel injection cleaning once i agreed to having it done. MY car start hesitating and have not stopped this was 2 sundays ago. I was told to bring the car back because the technician that worked on my car forgot to put a piece back on the car When I brought the car back nothing change I was given guesses on why my car was hestitating prior to coming into the Juffey Lube my car was running perfectly fine. 2 months ago I took my car into the dealership and had spark plugs changed and major updates. Now I have a car that idle high and hesitates.

Went in for an oil change at Jiffy lube on a Sunday then Next day, my car started making loud noises coming from the engine or front of vehicle. Brought it to my mechanic, they noticed that differential fluid was drained completely, they wouldn't touch it until Jiffy lube had a look and asked me to have it towed back there. I got my insurance company involved because I have roadside assistance for towing, but instead they decided it would be best for me to have it towed to a transmission shop and an investigation of the problem commenced on the following day.

The investigation found Jiffy lube to be at fault. Because the vehicle left the shop, Jiffy lubes garage insurance does not cover the repairs which are in an excess of 1500 depending on the damage. The vehicle is currently sitting at the tranny shop while I wait to speak with the Jiffy lube regional manager (takes 48-72 hours after a complaint is filed with Jiffy lube international for the regional manager to contact me - there contact information is not available otherwise) Depending on what 'they' decide to do, after they meet with the owner of the tranny shop, 'they' will either pay for the repairs or I will have to pay then sue for reimbursement.

I currently have no vehicle and at this point, I have no idea how long it will take for Jiffy lube to make this decision for me to take the next step. I'm very frustrated because I'm not sure what else I should or need to do at this point while I wait.

I paid to have my oil changed. I even paid to have the very best and expensive oil put in my car that doesn't require changing for 7000 miles. My brother just check my oil and it is black, very black oil. He told me that my oil was not changed that only my filter was changed. The Assistant Manager offered to top off my oil! He says I have to pay again to have my oil changed that was never changed in the first place... I don't even have 3000 miles on this 7000 mile oil. Also they supposedly checked and topped off all my fluids... my radiator sump jug was bone dry and we couldn't even see the water level when the cap to the radiator was removed. There are no oil or water leaks present.

Wife took 2003 Dodge Cummins in for oil change. After 30 miles driving noticed low oil pressure, upon checking the oil found it was approx 1/2 gallon low but the oil was still just as black as it was when it went in for service. She called the store and was told that is the way it is on diesels. After I was able to check it myself, from what I can tell they spun on a new filter and called it good. The oil smells like fuel it was not changed. I have over 20 years managing trucking companies and truck maintenance shops. I have taken an oil sample and have sent it in for testing, as well as having changed the oil myself , funny its not black now.

Just got ripped off, 75 for services that were not completed.
