Chevy Tahoe Wipers

Consumer Complaints & Reviews

Owner of a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe. Wipers intermittedly stop and or completely malfunction. I am the original owner of the vehicle and was never informed of a recall, however after researching the matter I have found that there had been a recall on this type vehicle for the same problem. I have no recourse at this point due to the vehicle no longer being under warranty. My complaint aside from the malfunction is that I was never notified of any type of recall.

Windeshield wipers stoped, this has happened twice on my 2002 tahoe, in the matter of 5 weeks! and When i had my 1997 GMC sirrea it happened a few times too! But its nto recalled!

Cant drive in snow or ice or rain, which is doing all three outside right now! Has stopped while raining... snowing... ex

I have not contacted Chevy, but I am experiencing difficulties with my windshield wipers working intermittenly. Sometimes they don't come on at all. Also I am now having problems with my 1998 Tahoe overheating. I have replaced numerous thermostats, replaced several water pumps, and finally replaced the radiator. To my dismay each fix usually lasts about two weeks and then the problem arises again. It is happening again. Please log this complaint and is there any help out there as far as the dealer repairing the problem?

Two defects. One -- my windshield wipers stopped for no apparent reason. Happens occasionally. Also replaced manifold gasket due to the use of dexcool. truck had 58,000 on it. cost $413.00.

I'm the owner of a 1999 Tahoe. I'm having trouble with the windshield wipers stopping intermittently or not starting at all. GM has recalled some vehicles for this but not mine. My dealer said my vehicle takes the same part number as the recalled vehicles.

The dealer informed me that they could repair my wipers for a charge of $65+ for parts plus labor. I called GM trying to get some assistance with my repair but was told my vehicle didn't have the recall so I should just pay my local dealer to repair the wipers and save the receipt in case it was recalled in the future. Then GM would reimburse for repair.

To me this is a cop-out -- they need to recall the other vehicles with this problem. I can tell from your Web site and others that I'm not the only one having the same problem.

I went into Columbia Chevrolet because of the recall for windshield wipers on the Chevy Tahoe and other SUVs. I was told that my vehicle was not included. I then got on the Internet at www.ConsumerAffairs.com and found that there was an extgended recall for windshield wipers for Tahoes for 1998.

I have a great concern as I ride down the highway that I will have no windshield wipers. They come on sometimes and sometimes they don't.
