Save up to $379 on Your Auto Insurance. Compare Quotes from Top Providers Now! Find the Best Deal and Apply! - Adv. Richard of Naples, FL May 7, 2009 In December of 2005, I put 2000 down for the purchase of a special edition car, the Corvette ZO6. Basically, this was a "good faith" payment for the right to be on a waiting list since the vehicle was so popular at the time. While talking to the sales person, Reggie Stagmaier of Tom Jumper Chevrolet in Atlanta, GA, it was brought out in conversation that General Motors was possibly coming out with a limited edition Corvette nicknamed the "Blue Devil" which eventually turned out to be the ZR1. Almost 15 months later during March of 2007, I made the conscious decision to forego the ZO6 in favor of buying the ZR1. All of this was with the understanding that my original 2000 for the ZO6 was automatically transferred to the new waiting list for the ZR1 and was fully refundable anytime if I changed my mind. The other day, I tried contacting Mr. Stagmaier and Tom Jumper Chevrolet only to find out that the dealership had declared bankruptcy in November, 2008. Is there any recourse that can be taken in this circumstance? In other words, am I still recognized by General Motors as having a place on this waiting list or should I be seeking a refund? Christine of Lithonia, GA October 1, 2008
