Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I brought a 2000 Nissan Maxima from Elite (101 NW 27 Ave. Miami, FL), in which they promised to fix all the problems with the car. After purchasing this car, 2 days later, the AC went out, and then the car starter went bad. In addition, the car started to make all kinds of noise. Soon, after talking to the owner of Elite Motors, I felt a little better. He promised that they would fix the car with no problem, and schedule me to come back the next day, to fix the problem . When I arrived the next day, I was told to come back the following day, and then the following day, I was scheduled to come back again. After being rescheduled 4 times, I complained to the owner. The owner said that I work on his time, and I was also told to get off his property. I really need to report this company, and I was told by the owner that he wouldn't take my money and that he will find my car and pick it up. Please help. What can I do?

We saw a car with green number showing as year 2001 and the dealear persons refere it a clean history without crashes and accidents. Today we buy it (I did not realiza the year in papers shows 2000) and when we review the report online taking into account the vin number, we verify that the year was 2000 instead 2001 and the car has accident report.

Recently retired USAF, saw ad in phone book with the outstanding service done by this auto shop. I took my car there to get a clutch did. The clutch work was performed 27 Apr 08 for price of $582.82. Later around 1 June, I had my transmission rebuilt by AAMCO. I left to go out of country for 1 month and return Jul 08. I felt my car slipping which I thought was the transmission. I was told by AAMCO who rebuilt my transmission to stop in Atlanta GA to have them check. What was found was my clutch was slipping. I immediatedly came back to Fort Walton Beach and took my car back to Elite. My car sat there for over 4 days without being looked at.

I eventually got the car back and basically was told it wasn't Elite's problem and it was AAMCO who must of over adjusted the clucth. I went to AAMCO here in Fort Walton and they said that wasn't correct and to contact Tallahasse AAMCO who did work. They told me/Fort Walton branch that wasn't possible due to the the clutch being hydralic so no adjusting could be done and also they knew the clutch was good so how could they do anything. I then went back to Elite and sat waiting for them to contact AAMCO in Tallahassee, I was told Elite would do this after lunch, but in the mean time I'm just suppose to sit and wait. They were on internet posting EBAY ads and not even worrying about my service.

After I finally could take no more I said enough and what was the deal and Im treated unfair. So owner asked his mechanic to see where some leakage was coming from the transmission, which AAMCO already knew of. I was told some long story but still that they couldn't help me. I asked then that this means my warranty which has been a few months was voided, and owner replied, "yes" cause AAMCO did work on the transmission. I was shocked to no belief but decided to leave before I said or did something wrong.

I went back to AAMCO here in Fort Walton and they are now fixing the leak on the trans, but assured me what Elite told me was wrong and also to contact someone to report them cause he wasn't warranting his work. Tallahassee AAMCO will offered to fix the clucth cause they felt bad but said it was "NO" way they touched that clutch. Basicially, I'm having to drive another vehicle which doesnt get good gas, I was planning to go out of town this week but can't now cause I have to fix my car and I paid $582.82 for work which I didnt recieve any help what so ever to resolve a problem. Elite didn't even look inside to see the problem, I was just told if they looked inside, I would have to be charged, but I thought it was under warranty.

I've had to take time out of my schedule to go check on my car over 4 days and then no work was done at all. I've given time and money for this and now having to go let someone else put another clucth in my vehilce which was recently just done by Elite. I'm very disappointed and very hurt over what has happen and feel no customer should of had to endure what I just did. I just retired and I don't feel why all of this happen and why as the owner of this shop who not even look inside to prove it wasnt' work done bad, but instead trying to bad mouth another company to save his self time/money in return to just keeping my money. I greatly appreciate help in this matter.
