Jeraldine of Tulare, CA, writes:

My new 2001 Mitsubishi Galant was taken five times for service to repair the power steering unit and/or pulley, which was/were causing a steering problem. There continues to be a vibration in the steering column and other minor problems. I have tried to get them to either replace the car or just give me a different model or make.

The car is only two and a half monthes old. It has spent almost four of those weeks in the shop for repair and I have to use a rental car. I feel unsafe with my children traveling in the car. The car continues to make a clicking noise which they can not find (or so they say). It makes me sick to my stomach or gives me a headache when I go to travel to work wondering if the car will make it to and from work. When the steering column is turned to make a right turn or sharp right turn it makes a strange noise in the braking system. I then think that I have to get a brake job on the car. I get nervous about taking the car back to the dealer because all I ever hear is how they can only "fix the car." I bought a brand new car that spends more time in the shop and me in a rental and now I am wondering thinking what will break next.
