I took my Chevy Blazer in for my 100,000 mile check. Nothing was wrong with the Blazer and I asked for a minor check. They called during the day and said I needed a fuel filter, decarbonize eingine and Throttle Body and flush injectors. I approved the service. They did, among other things, a carbon flush and charged me for the parts and labor. Within two weeks of the service, I began to have trouble starting the Blazer and I smelled gas. I do not drive to work but drive on the weekends and had a visitor from out of town visiting and was unable to return the Blazer to the service department until August 13. They called and said that there was fuel leaking into the intake and that I needed a regulator, carbon flush and cap-rotor, which they again charged me for (the same parts and labor as before). I called them and asked them why they needed to do the carbon flush again and asked what their mechanic did to cause this to happen. I understand that the Blazers have problems with the fuel injection system but I don't believe that it failed on its own. Maybe if it had failed a few months later I could understand, but I believe the mechanic failed to do the job properly the first time, causing the failure soon after the first service. Why would they have to do the carbon flush again??

Consquences....they charged me almost $550 the first time, and $900 to do (in my opinion) the same thing again. They did return the money for the second carbon flush parts and labor, which I demanded. But had I not checked the invoices, I wouldn't have noticed. I could not and cannot afford for them to do damages through bad service repair and have me or any other customer pay for their mistakes. I don't mind paying for the parts but I believe they should reinburse me for the labor costs. Thank you.
