I own an F-250 Power Stroke Diesel 1995 4WD P/U. I am getting very severe front end shimmy when I hit road irregulatiries i.e. potholes, railroad tracks. etc. I took the vehicle to the tire shop to have the front end aligned. I was advised that the springs Ford installed under the front end are too light to carry the weight of the diesel engine and I needed to have an "add-a-leaf kit" installed to bring the front end back up to its original specifications. That was quoted to me at $400 or more to upgrade the front end to specs. Ford has issued TSB's about this problem, although that is not considered a recall. It is evident Ford Motor Company was aware of the problem and I would have taken care of the problem if rightfully advised while my vehicle was under warranty. I do not feel that repairing this mechanical problem that Ford Motor Company new exhisted will not be taken care of by Ford Motor Company - at Ford Motor Company expense.
The vehicle is VERY UNSAFE to drive. My wife had children in the vehicle one day, in fact the last day she will ever drive this vehicle until it is repaired. The shimmy was so bad she almost lost total control of the vehicle putting lives at danger, not to mention grandchildren
