This organization franchises used car dealers around the country. On its recruitment Web site, it waxes poetic about its vision, which it describes as: "Build a national chain of used car sales and sub prime finance dealerships that consistently meets or exceeds the expectations of our customers, associates, and franchise partners." Maybe, but we're not sure the Kentucky Attorney General would agree.

I purchased a car from JD Byrider in June of 2008 when I was down on my luck, and my daughters first birthday was just a few days away. I got a 2000 malibu and i was reassured all cars go through a 2000 point inspection. Well the very next morning the car cut off on the freeway (on my daughters big day) I tried to call them and they wanted me to pay for a tow truck. I was on the freeway with a car full of kids and its 8am. It took the tow truck about an hour, he took us down to jd byrider and the sales rep was very rude and didnt even want to let me use the phone to call someone to pick us up.

Anyways make a long story short, the gas gage was broken and the car was just out of gas. My radio also didnt work. I shrugged it off as a honest mistake. They promised they would take care of everything asap. Well a year later, my car is still falling apart, I have to take it to them at least 2-3 times a month for the same problems, Ive asked them to fix my brake lights over and over again. I've been pulled over 7 times for my lights. My car is loud and you can hear it from a mile away. Its constantly overheating and blowing toxic gases into me and my child's lungs who happens to have asthma. They keep saying they fixed it but the same problems keep occurring.

I even took it to an auto zone because the check oil light keeps coming on, the employee said that the parts in my car didn't look new and were probably spray painted. I was furious. My brakes have been crap since the beginning and they always say they are waiting for the parts to come in. They never call when your car is supposedly finished and ready to go. They have kept my car for up to a week after it was finished. When I drop it off and tell them all the problems, they always say that that they dont have enough time to do all the things. but they will see what they can do. But they sure dont forget to call to remind you to make your payment. I never get any paperwork when I pick my car up. I stopped worrying about it because i know i will be back in a week or two because whatever trick they used to make it okay is not working. They are rude and never return calls.

DO NOT USE. I wouldn't even refer an enemy for that ridiculous 200 referral program they have! I have missed so much work, they wont even offer you a ride to or from anywhere to drop your car off when there is a problem. I literally live 2 blocks from them and they woudlnt even give me a ride home. But they sent someone to house when I was in the hospital to collect my payment. They said they were checking up on me. Ha! I have had to rent several cars and kept them longer than i needed to because they wont even call when your car is ready to be picked up.

From the beginning I've had problems with the car JD Byrider sold me! With in the first two weeks I had to take the car back because the transmission went out on me, after that it has been the brakes. I have never had a car that has to have the brakes replaced every two to three months. Now that my warranty has expired and have to pay full price for any work that they do, I have to look to other places to get my brakes done because of what they charge. I've been to two Just Brakes in the Tampa area and two other places to get my brakes done and no one will fix them because my brake system is contaminated and it has been that way for a while.

I've tried to let JD Byrider know, but all they keep telling me is it's normal wear and tear on the car. Then want to charge me just to look at it! I don't have extra money laying around for all that, and the car was like that everytime they fixed my brakes and master cylinder, I was told it would cost me over 1400 dollars just to fix the problem, now if I had that type of money I'd have a car with NO car payments! another thing is the car had over 100,000 miles on it from the beginning! CNAC does not mind harrassing you for the money 13,000 that they have so smoothly overcharged me for.

As a result I am now driving with a contaminated brake system, and faulty brakes that no one will fix without solving the whole problem, and eventually they are going to completely go out.( and they will still want their money)

I bought a car from JD Byrider in July 2007. The car has constantly been in the shop for the same repairs. The first problem the vacuum hose disconnect. The next the brakes was replace twice. Then the transmission was given problems. The car had problem accelerating up hill. It was slow and sluggage. The e problem was fixed. The problem came back again, this time i gave the car to my cousin to have his mechanic to look at and he said who ever worked my transmission place it back in the car wrong and did a boched job repairing.

The transmission is hitting up against catalyst converter and causes it to make a loud noise. I have given these people close to 2000 dollars to repair a 1999 Plymouth Voyager which had 92000 miles on it when I bought it. According to the blue book I should have only paid 5000 for this particular car. They continue to harrass me and threatening me. Even have the towing guy from roads to recovery Tom call me twice a day. Something has to be done with this company, because no matter what car you buy from them is always 10,000 dollars and their financing % is high.

The transmission is no good at all. The car is parked

I bought a car from JD ByRider in January 2009 in February 2009 it started giving me some problem. I call JD Byrider and informed them about some of the problem they always say drop the off but can never say when they can look at it. On March 8, 2009 the car ran hot I called them the next day to tell the car had ran hot the only thing they could say is bring the car in and leave it March 24th, I explain to them I couldn't wait that long because I needed a way to work. So they drop it when I got a change and they would look at it when they got a chang because they had other cars in front of me.

On Friday March 13th, the car broke down I called them to let them know the car had broke down. The next day I had to get me another car because needed a car for and called them and them to come get they car back. After they found out I had got me another they wanted to be nice and try and get the car fix they even offer me another car. But I told it was to late when I try to work with them they would not work with me. I am very dissapointed because this were not the first car I had bought from them. The car they sold me this time it like they went out in the juke yarn and put something together. A week later they came got the car. Then after they got i they still using my bank information to withdraw from money account.

I would for them to refund my money back

On 2/12/09 another car company referred me to JDByrider because my credit rating is zero - not good, not bad it's just zero. The other dealer thought sure they could help us. I got atleast 4 calls on the 12th and another one on the 13th to confirm were were coming. When we got there the original salesperson Carlos immediately handed us over to Robert - Please note this complaint is not against Robert - he did his job and was very respectful.

To continue, we filled out filled out the papers (all the time thinking we'd get a car) Got interviewed (still thinking everything was going well) and went outside to wait the results. My wife and I make 60K a year but this last year has been expensive and since we normally pay up front for everything, we had 400 for a down payment. The next time we see Robert, they want to put the loan in my son's name and take my wife off - absolutely not.

Bottom line was then 2000 down payment. We left after spending an entire afternoon there. Our conclusion was because of our income they wanted to bully us out of 2000. Not happening. Their whole application process is liken to being interviewed for a job - they wanted to know who was going to drive the car (WHO CARES???) they need 10 to 12 personal references along with the financial information. The entire experience at JDBYrider of Augusta was humiliating and stressful.
