B&B Transmissions
San Carlos, CA

Irene of San Carlos writes:

Jan. 6, 1998   transmission rebuilt, 2/16/98 transmission burnt; supposedly fixed, 4/6/98 transmission slipping; torque converter faulty; replaced, 5/4/98, slipping; autobody replaced.  10/15/99 transmission broken again.  In May 1998 they renewed the warranty, 112,000 miles...now in Oct. 99 it has 131,000.

The only thing they can do is to charge me for another new unit and waive the labor.  I will have to pay another $2,200 for another transmission.  They can't replace it on their own good will.

I took out a loan the first time which is not paid still and now probably another loan.  I can't afford it, and feel so cheated from the beginning.  Rick said that they did things in the beginning to save a dollar but now I have to pay for their decisions. Not fair!

Irene needs to read the warranty and see what it says.  If B&B is in compliance with the terms of the warranty, she is out of luck.  If not, she could go to Small Claims Court to have the warranty enforced.
