David of Kenner, LA August 21, 2009 US Fidelis stated that I would have bumper to bumper for 5 years with no worries about out of pocket expenses. Received the contact and there are small limit of liability and these amounts are all much smaller than any repair amounts would be. This company is a scam and needs to be brought up on charges. I am out of 100.00 down payment. Luckly I read the contact. Robert of Round Rock, TX August 21, 2009 I thoroughly believe US Fidelis is using deceptive practices and misleading advertising. I told Greg, the salesman, I needed to discus the terms of the agreement with my wife. He the proceeded to pressured me to sign up quickly or risk losing special benefits. I also asked for specific details as what would be covered. He stated the details would be spelled out in the paperwork. It was painfully obvious that he was more concerned about the sale than addressing my concerns. If I had received all the details I had requested prior to signing on I would not have done so. It as if I am playing the odds in Las Vegas and the Pit Boss has the final say. I am filing a complaint with the attorney generals for Missouri and Texas. I have tried to have rach of my two vehicles worked on and have experienced nothing but trouble each time. Glenn of Desert Hot Springs, CA August 18, 2009 I purchased USFidelis extended auto warranty in December 0f 2008. The person I talked to said I was buying (for 120 per month) their PREMIER COVERAGE which means my vehicle was covered "BUMPER to BUMPER" providing I take my car to an ASE CERTIFIED GARAGE; which I did. Included was FREE TOWING and FREE CAR RENTAL. The mechanic (Pete's Garage in Thousand Palms, CA) called and said USFidelis denied the claim and would not talk to him over the phone. I called the USFidelis claims number and was told my claim was denied because I did not have Bumper to Bumper coverage. They also denied the rental car claim which I had to pay for up front. Robert of Philadelphia, PA August 13, 2009 We were pressured into buying an auto warrenty, the first time I went to use it, the amount that was available for the repair left such a large amount due out of pocket that I was not able to make the repair. I contacted them after much frustration as the reason for taking this policy is I am disabled and thought it would benefit me if I should have a break down as i live on a very limited income. I called to cancel and was talked into a smaller payment to continue my account but I found out that when they sent me my new paperwork everything was very different than what I was told. I was informed that my payment in august would be deferred but money was taken out of my account anyway and now I can not even get in touch with anyone. Joseph of Fort Lauderdale, FL August 9, 2009 Since I've had US Fidelis, I've had 3 MAJOR problems with my car. Out of the three, USFidelis had denied ALL of the claims. One of which they paid for a 300 radio, but I still paid more out of pocket. I've saved my receipts and I've faxed copies to them as they requested. It's strange at how they keep dening me, but when it's time to pay my monthly fee, they blow my phone up! Since I am a Flight Attendant, basically living paycheck to paycheck, I have to drive 40 miles to my job so, my job REQUIRES me to have a car. Alton of conroe, TX August 8, 2009 In dealing with this company I took my truck to be repaired for services that were covered under my contract. My part was to ensure to maintain my truck with oil changes etc which I have receipts . I faxed the copies to the claims department and they contacted me and tld it would not be covered due to the receipts did not have enough information. It clearly showed on each receipt the model, make and the same details on each one showing I do maintain my truck. They would not answer any of my quesions. Extremely rude, would hang up on me, would only say over and over we can not the same statement like a recorded robot. I not only have paid hundreds for this policy but not on top I have to pay for the repairs this is no more than a scam. I would like to also be aprt of this class action suit Cornelius of Fairfield, AL August 7, 2009 In April I saw a commercial about auto warranty. It was US Fidelis. The commercial stated that US Fidelis would pay everything except 50.00 for repairs. I called the company and spoke with a representative. He stated what I heard was true and that all I needed to do was send them 125.00 for each vehicle and be with the company for three months and after that, I could go in to any auto repair shop in the world and present my card and they would repair/fix my vehicle. However, they lied to me. On two or three occasions I tried to have my car serviced and all three places told me the card was no good and that US Fidelis was a scam. Now, they are sending me bills after I wrote them and told them I no longer want their service and I want my money back. Kay of Rancho Cucamonga, CA August 4, 2009 By the Grace of God I was spared from entering into a contract with US Fidelis. I just want everyone to know that I appreciate all the input of their bad experiences with the company. I called them this morning to inquire about their warrenty program and it all sounded very sweet! I asked "Adam" if he could mail me a contract that I could read before making any decisions and forking over money. He told me that once I purchased the plan I would have 30 days to go over the contract and my money would be refunded if for some reason I wanted to change my mind. I told him I still wanted to explore my options as this was the first call I made and he literally tried to bully me into buying the contract before hanging up. He told me that if I don't commit now that when I call back the price would be much higher and I would have to pay 200 for my vehicle to be inspected. After talking to Adam, I found this web site and am so greatful for all the input from everyone who has been scammed. I am so sorry people are stuck in contracts with this company! I still want an extended warrenty in place before my current one expires. I will be very cautious of whom I choose. I think I will see if the Chevy dealer can recommend someone for me. Holly of Akron, OH August 3, 2009 I was told that my extended warranty would cover EVERYTHING mechanical with my truck. From transmission to alternator to water pump to brake calipers and CV joints. I signed up, put a deposit of 100 down and have made 3 monthly payments of 76.88. My trucks "check engine" light just came on. I had it checked;turns out to be a valve body component malfunction. Some other things were found bad as well and the repair bill for all comes to over 1600.00. These buttwads at US Fidelis say that NOTHING is covered. Cherie of Troy, TN August 2, 2009 Applied for the policy in Feb 2009, and US FIDELIS told me I had to put 295.00 down and that I could finance the rest, and that US FIDELIS would be deducting payments of 149.89 per month through my credit card.I plainly ask what was covered even the smallest things I could think of and I was assured that parts and labor were covered and that US FIDELIS would provide roadside assistance and provide a rental car while our vehicle was being fixed. So this was way beyond the waiting period approximately 3 months after,JULY 27,2009 we carried our truck to the Ford dealership which we normally go to for repair, and they said they were not familiar with this warranty at all, and he could not ever remember do a claim with them....then I felt a little concerned. Well the Ford Service checked the truck out and called us back to let us know of the problem and told us that they had contacted US FIDELIS, and none of the 1400.00 of work that needed to be done was covered. Needless to say we were really disappointed. So I called US FIDELIS myself and ask what the problem was and they began to tell me of what they SAID they told me about what was covered, and that there was nothing they could do about the work that need to be done to our truck, due to it being that US FIDELIS did not cover those paticular parts. So I told them what good is having a warranty that cost you 2975.00 if you had to end up paying for the work yourself anyway. Then I told them I wanted to cancel the warranty, and he began to then tell me that I may want to reconsider because I would not get a full refund back....when initally they said a refund would not be a problem. Now US FIDELIS said for me to write CANCEL on my PAYMENT PLAN AGREEMENT with my signature and date...then to get a plain sheet if paper and write the number of miles on it and have it notarized, and send it and they would evaluate the length of time I had the contract to the amount that I had paid and would come up with the amount of refund I would recieve. So just now I immediately called my credit card company to make sure no payment had been taken, and had a new card issued to make sure they didn't recieve anymore money ,for a service thgat was no good to me.... .But now however I have to call all of my other accounts that take out monthly payments off of this card as well. At the end of my conversation with US FIDELIS, the representive said...WELL SINCE I HAVE YOU ON THE PHONE,I NEED TO ASK YOU IF THERE IS ANOTHER VEHICLE YOU WOULD LIKE TO PUT A WARRANTY ON TODAY!!
