Pacific Guard Warranty

DeAndros of Inglewood, CA October 22, 2009

I purchased a warranty pkg from Pacific Guard Warranty on 4/02/09 for my 2000 Jaguar S-type that I purchased used from a private owner and had to put a down payment of 200.00 and 136.11 monthly. Once I got the pkg it told me that I had to drive my car 250 miles before I could summit a claim. On 7/03/09 I took my car to the Jaguar dealer to get fixed and was told on 7/06/09 that my claim was denied for services and was told to call the company that sold me the policy to find out what was wrong. So I called Pacific Guard Warranty and I spoke with a gentleman name Daman and was told that the policy that was sold to me was no good and that they didnt cover my type of vehicle and I asked why would they sale me a policy that was no good. He informed me that it must have been a glitch in the system and that I shouldnt have been sold that policy,so I asked do I get my money back and I was told yes. So daman sent me a email that said :

Consumer Direct does not offer a warranty package for your Jaguar S-Type model. A total refund of $608.35. This refund will take 4-6 weeks for a refund, however I will try to speed up this process. 4/02/09 = 200.00 down payment on Visa Card 4/28/09 = 136.13 Monthly Payment on Visa Card 5/28/09 = 136.11 Monthly Payment on Visa Card 6/29/09 = 136.11 Monthly Payment on Visa Card Refund Total = $608.35

this was sent on 7/06/09 with a Cancellation form to fax back and Daman told me to put for the reason why is that they do not offer warranty pkg for my vehicle and shouldnt have been sold to me. Now since this email I recieved my three payments back within three days but was told that the down would take up to 4-6 wks after 4-6 wks I still didnt recieve my down payment of 200.00 so I called PGW and was told by another agent that they lost my paper work and thats why I havent recieved my down payment and that they sent me a chk in the mail. so after waiting two wks for it I called back and spoke to a different agent and was told that I need to mail back the warranty pkg that was sent to me in order to complete this process, I mailed back everything to them Like they asked and was told that I would recieve my down payment after they recieve the warranty pkg back. after two more wks still money back.

I called PGW on 10/15/09 and spoke with a agent named Courtney who was a supervisor and was told that from looking at the notes in the system and talking with her supervisor that I was told wrong and that my policy was good and that I shouldnt have been refunded any money back because I cancelled my coverage do to the warranty did not cover what I needed fixed. That was not told to me by her co-worker Daman who told me that the policy was no good. she then states that the policy was good when I bought it but they no longer offered it in may. so they will not honor my refund now because of this.
