I am so sick and tired of asking this Heritage Warranty Mutual to quit calling our home telephone. Our number is listed on the National Do Not Call Registry, and I have asked this company no less than 20 times to remove our number and name from their calling list and threatened to report them six times. They are very rude and nonchalant, and make you want to jerk them through the telephone and slap them silly. I would never buy any warranty or anything from this company. I just want them to quit calling my home.
Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I purchased a contract with them when I purchased a Motor Home, which I paid $3,400.00. I was told at the time of purchase that if I never had a claim, I would receive my money back. When I contacted them, they said that I had filed a claim, which I didn't know about. I got over that, and later, I really did file a claim for $308.00 and have never been paid. What a scam. Is there anything at all that I can do? They called a week ago and wanted me to settle the claim for $75.00.

The Jeep liberty rear window regulator broke. Has there been a recall? It's not under warranty and seems too common of a problem.

We filed a complaint with the Oregon Attorney General's office last July 27, 2009. They have made numerous calls to Heritage Warranty and the South Carolina Department of Insurance. Just like us they have got the run around and countless lies.
They have 29 filed complaints on Heritage Warranty. To date, none have been paid.

I had the same problems as the others to get reimbursed. I filed a complaint with the attorney general's office in my state (every state has a Web site for their attorney general). I filed my papers and they contacted Heritage for their response. I just received my check.

Heritage Warranty contract refund of $4995.00 approved for payment on 7/25/08. It's a scam. Heritage Warranty continues to cheat and lie and the South Carolina Dept. of Insurance have washed their hands of problems caused by these crooks. Ken ** or Jeff ** no longer take phone calls and refer you to a bogus website. It seems it was taking up too much of their valuable time and anyway it is not their job to investigate the illegal dealings of insurance companies they license? I wonder what exactly their function is if not to protect the public.
The dept. refers telephone calls to ** of Mr. Barry ** if you are persistent. Mr. ** is quite a character with a remarkable ability to tell you who he is not. He is not a lawyer, does not work for Heritage or the Dept. of Insurance and sadly has very little information about if or when claims will be paid. His attitude was extremely superior and demeaning, but at least he was a real person.
So we filed yet another complaint, this time on the internet and sent copies to DOI. It took about 2 weeks for the lawyers of Heritage to contact the Oregon Dept. of Justice. They stated that our check for $4995.00 was in the mail. That was October 2009 and I am still waiting. Incidentally, I called the Dept. of Justice and told them that the check had not arrived. They thanked me for letting them know as had I not done this, they would have closed the file assuming that we had been paid.
So Heritage Warranty and their lawyers are still up to their usual dirty little tricks and South Carolina Dept. of Insurance does nothing. They continue to scam the unsuspecting public and dumb seniors like us who can least afford it. South Carolina Dept. of Insurance, Mr. **, Mr. ** Mr. ** and the powers that be you should hang your heads in shame.

I have two unpaid invoices from my car repair shop for services that were authorized by my extended warranty company, Heritage. The repairs were made in May and June of 2008 and still have not been paid. Despite repeated attempts by the repair center these invoices have been ignored by Heritage.

We purchased an extended warranty on our van through Heritage. This past July we had some repairs done. Heritage informed us that we needed to pay upfront and that they would then reimburse us for the amount they said was covered by them. We faxed them our receipt. This had to be done a few times until they finally conceded that they had received the information. Now, after waiting months for payment, they are telling us that payment is not scheduled to arrive to us until September of 2011. Our work was done in July of 2009.
It is now only December of 2009. Are we truly supposed to wait 2 years to receive a check from them? Also, the phone number that I called only sent me to National Administrative Company. Sandra, the contact I spoke with, informed me the only way to get in touch with Heritage is through their website. I've since learned that any attempt at this only takes you back to Sandra. How can there be now way to reach the warranty company? I am now having a lawyer investigate this.

On 10/08/02 I purchased a bumper to bumper warranry for my 1991 Honda for $2,132 for a seven year period. During that time I have not used the repair service and was assured that I would receive the full deposit refunded at that time.
On 10/05/09 I sent Heritage GPR Claims a "heads up" letter advising the time had arrived for the deposit to be refunded. I was told that the refund was on their spread sheet and would be refunded soon. Two months later I have heard nothing from the company, I request your assistance.
I am 76 years old on retired pay income only and accepted the warranty in the event of a catastrophy occuring with my auto during that 7-year period. Thank You.

Car needed servecing. Took car to dealer. Dealer contacted Heritage and repair was approved. I had to pay because Heritage said they would pay me. It has been over three months and I'm still waiting for my money. We contacted the company and a person by the name of Sandra informed us that they had approved the repair. When asked as to when we would get the money due to us, Sandra siad she did not know and that they were in no hurry to pay us. I'm still owed close to $250.00

I purchased a 2001 jetta tdi at camalback Volkswagen .@ 28k miles in oct 2004. Last month I brought my vehicle to the dealership for a/c problems. The dealership informed me that they hav approval for around 1800. and that I was responsible for around 400. more to get the car repaired properly. I Learned to discover that they did not get payment from them directly via credit card accounts and that I was now responsible for the complete bill and would have to get them to pay me. This really looks like a highly illegal insurance and wire fraud in MY OPINION.
And if, I am not claiming criminal because this is only my opinion, I am no lawyer, sence these so called adjuster agents that approved and entered into an agreement to cover repairs with my dealership state that they are working as an agent, then if this is a fraud then i would imagine that it is a crime in progress. I am making no accusations at this point, this is only my opinion, but I would like to speak to an attorney who would like to some work. If I remember correctly that a manufactures liability goes up the latter in franchises currently doing business as Volkswagen of America. The contract was sold to me at Camel back Volkswagen in Phoenix. I would like to know what an attorney would think about this, I would like to know if I am a victim of a crime.

I have been scammed by Heritage Administration Services, Inc. and Dimension Service's processing claims company. I have the same story as all the other people who have complained. An approved repair that was covered under a warranty that I purchased that I have seen NO refund for. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. I also call Dimension Service weekly to see the status. They give me no information other than Heritage has received the claim. They owe me $1,015.
The government needs to shut them down!!! This is FRAUD!!!

I have not received reimbursement payment which has been filed more than 60 days after proof of loss, as govern on Heritage Service Contract, under title: Other Important Contract Provisions.
Please be informed that I have contacted Heritage Administration Services, Inc. several times, spoke with different representatives (Teresa/Cynthia/Sandra/Leslie/Jack), and I always get the same answer to my question: Your Reimbursement Status has been Approved and Wait to be Paid.
I have requested their help and kindness to expedite the reimbursement process; however they didn't have any idea of how long it's going to take, and they do not have The Heritage's person in charge nor department phone number for me to follow-up my case, either. $1,283.72

5 yr auto warranty purchased 11-17-03 at the Auto Store in Merced California. Covered 2001 Town and Country used vehicle purchased with 45234 miles. Took vehicle in for warranty service 11-12-08. Heritage authorized service Auth #L08-30098-506. I paid $350 and Heritage was to pay $505.75. They have not paid the dealship and now I must pay the dealship which repaired the vehicle: Razzari Dodge-Chrysler at 1605 Auto Center Drive, Merced CA. 95340-5675. Called the number provided and this is a 3rd party administrator that can give me no information how to contact Heritage. On the web I found 8055 "O" Street, Lincoln, NE may be the address. Can't confirm.

In May 2004, I purchased a vehicle from a dealer in Olympia, Washington and the dealer suggested Heritage for an extended warranty. I paid $1,500.00 for the insurance and then, when I attempted to use it for the first time a few months before the warranty expired they scammed me out of nearly $1,300.00. I have been calling the toll free number of the Administrative Services Company that says they do the paperwork for many extended warranty companies. They say they authorized the payment and were waiting for Heritage to cut the check.
It's been over 3 1/2 months now and I am still not any closer to getting a check. I contacted the Iowa State Attorney General's office with this issue and they are looking into it for me. I also contacted the Iowa Securities Bureau and they told me that if a class action suit would be filed against this company I might receive pennies on the dollar. Sounds like I have run out of people to contact and am pretty much resigned to my fate. I live on Social Security and can ill afford to lose this much money. When I stop and think of the $1,500 I paid for the Insurance and then the $1,300.00 due me, my actual loss is $2,800.00.

I have had this extended car warranty with Heritage since 10/2005. I paid $3,189.00. At that time, the service provider would get approval, repair the car and Heritage would pay them less the deductible. Now the company is operating under a company that administrates for them: Claims Department, NASC P.O. Box 2082 Dublin, Ohio 43107, 1 800 375 5236.
I have submitted bill that have been approved prior to the repairs. Now, I have to submit the bills to this company by mail. I have spoken with two representative, Gordon (no last name) and Jack (no last name), they told me they received the bills and have forwarded them to Heritage. When I called for updates: the first bill dates back to January and the other is May; I am met with rudeness and am informed there is nothing more they can do. When I ask if there is another way to contact Heritage, they say no. There is no address or phone to contact them. Is there any recourse for me? Thank you.

I purchased a car on 2/21/2004 from Ums Auto Group. When I purchased my car, I was asked would I like an extended warranty? I said yes, then the dealership gave me the extended warranty from Heritage. I paid $1800.00 more in my car payments for my warranty. Now on 5/12/2009, I brought my car in because I need a new fuel pump. Todd from Manhattan Mazda told me that the claim was approved, the number was ** and the total was $761.00. Now here it is in June, I had to pay for my own car in order for Mazda to release my car because they said that Heritage had not paid claims from last year. I got my car out on 6/26/2009. I then called the corporate office of Mazda and spoke to Jennifer and she was no help to me. I told her that a Mazda dealer gave me this warranty so the dealership or the corporation should be responsible for this bogus warranty.

I have a claim in from Jan 2009 and no check has been issued. What they say is they received it and forwarded it to Heritage and then its out of their hands. There is no phone # to contact Heritage and payments are not forth coming. I am hacing to lay out the money and Heriatge is holding on to it as long as they legally can. It seems there are more than my complaint. What are you doing about this

Paid $1500 for an "extended warranty" from Heritage Administrative Services Inc. Heritage approved repairs totaling $1041 in November 2008. I submitted a clim in December 2008 and have not been reimbursed to this day. When you call the company they will say its been submitted to their carrier for payment but they will not provide contact information for the payor or for managment at Heritage. The company is a fraud and is involved in wire fraud. $1500 financed for 5 years at 6.25% interest in addition to $1041 repair bill.

In feb of 09' I had to take our truck into get it fixed. We've taken in to the same location as before and had no problems with getting it back and having the warranty pay them. Came to our surprise when we picked it up we were told that we had to pay them and then we had to wait for heritage to pay us. Seeing my husband and I have completely different work schedules its vitale for us to have too vehicles. Unfortunatly we didnt have $600 dollars, so we decided to put it on our credit card. Thinking it wouldnt take that long to get refunded our money.
A month went by and we had no refund check and a credit card that was accumulating interest. My husband and I have both called several times, and all they say is that is been processed were just waiting for the check to be sent. We had gotten a little money back from our taxes to pay it of, that was suppoed to go to a vacation.
Now my vacations coming up and i have very little money to go. Why did I even pay for this warranty? Such a headache. Hopefully this company wil be stopped soon. Its ridiculous that we cant even speak with them that we have to speak w/ people that dont even know what going on. Interest accrued on credit card.. Financially put me in a bind. Used the money for a vacation to pay of the credit card.

Had purchased an extended warranty on a new 2006 RV through Poulsbo in Everett, WA on MAy 6 of '06 and filed an approved claim back in September '08 and have yet to be reimbursed the $1,395. When a letter was sent to the address listed in the contract it came back as not deliverable. The bogus address for Heritage as listed in the contract is Lincoln, NE 68510
I am out the money!

Had my 2004 FORD Repaired on 12/17/08 at a authorized Ford dealer. the reapair was called in by the dealer and an authorization # Mo8-37065163 was authorized for the work in the amount of $163.00. after waiting 90 days I called heritage and was told my claim was authorized to be paid. I ask to speak to a claims person and was told they have on way of contacting them as it was done thru a 3rd party and done electronically.
I asked when it was to be paid as it was over the 60 days to be paid. they said its in the works. Gordon was not very helpful and sounded as if he really didn't care. I called a couple of other 800 numbers and got the same double talk. A woman Claire was no help either. as of 3/25/09 I still haven't been paid.
loss of sleep thinking that I've been douped. agravited that I have no Recourse. Paid $2700 dollars for a worthless warranty.

Filed a claim for work done on my Jeep in mid November 2008. Work was not done until my dealer received authorization from Heritage. I filed a timely claim with the authorization number, etc. When I call to ask the status of the claim I am told, we are only a third party that submits the claims, the carrier is responsible for payment. I am told that my payment will be sent and to be patient. When I ask how to contact the company directly, the person states that they have only indirect contact via computer and they are unable to help and do not know where the company is located.
I spoke to the Nebraska State government office responsible for insurance complaints and the lady told me that she thinks there is nobody at that address from that company and there hasn't been anybody there since early 2008. The phone number to that office from the BBB website gets you to an answering machine. The phone number to Heritage Administrative Services in Dublin, OH gets you back to the same 800 number with the unhelpful 3rd party.
I am left to conclude that this is not a viable company. There needs to be an investigation by state governments and the principals investigated for fraud.

I have an extended warrenty. It has always been no problem since 1994. All of a sudden, in Sept 2008, they didn't pay the full cost for a repair. So I paid the overage. Now I hear from the shop January 2009 that they have not had a check from Heritage yet. I called Heritage and they said that it was just authorized to be paid. But there was no one I was allowed to call to see when it would be going out and now it is March and I just got a bill from the shop again.
If I have to pay for it, it will be a hardship on me as I am a senior citizen and have not got the money for this.

called in a customers extended warranty and that was in nov 2008, and now its 3-2-2009 and we have not been paid yet, company is not returning calls and are still taking claims in and not paying them. This company is decieving and underhanded
we are out the $ we have been waiting on from ext warranty, approx 600.00

Oct. 08, received auth for work to be done and to this date, I have not received a reimbursement check. Same story as the others! I am contacting Ohio Insurance Commissioner.

We are also victims of the Heritage scheme. BUT, I hate being a victim and I have a lot of free time. I am not going away. October 02' 2008 I took my Land Rover in for a repair. The dealer said they had to call it in for authorization with Heritage. They called and were given the go ahead if they used the part that Heritage preferred them to use. I would have to pay out of pocket $641.99 and Heritage would reimburse me in a few weeks. Not a problem.
My first call was 10/15/08 I wanted to make sure that Heritage had receive the paper work from the dealership. I was told Yes, the claim has been processed w/ DSI and submitted to Heritage. Pending payment. 10/31/08 National Admin Services Corp. They have received and are waiting for Heritage Insurance to pay. 11/25/08 spoke w/ Gordon Will be paid soon. 12/15/08 spoke w/ Gordon Won't be much longer. We don't have any info on Heritage, we don't ever talk to them, only through electric filing 1/05/09 spoke w/ Dave (supervisor) Still waiting. I just wanted to know if a check has been sent out to me. We can verify with a check number, however nothing has been sent out at this time.
1/22/09 spoke w/ Otis $641.99 shows Heritage still pending. Did not fall thru the cracks. Each time you call the account is flagged 1/22/09 called the BBB in Lincoln, NB. I called and that number is not in service 1/22/09 called the BBB in Columbus, OH (for central Ohio) We show nothing for Heritage I looked on line and I found Heritage Warranty.com, Dublin, OH 43017-3377 president: L. Rose Berry 1/22/09 I spoke w/ Otis again, When I asked to speak w/ Mr. Roseberry Otis said to call. when I call that number they have never heard of Mr. L. Roseberry. Yet, when I Google him there is quite a bit. They told me to call (800)--. When I called I asked who was the top person at the company and the receptionist gave me K. Hopper at x. 4105 I left a voice mail.
1/22/09 Kevin Hopper did call me back. and he told me to call D. Huntsman x. 4147 2/2/09 called and couldn't get past the customer service agent. Still no check on file as being sent out, we show it is still waiting. D. Huntsman is the one who does the e-filing w/ Heritage. He isn't going to tell you anything more then what I have already told you. 2/13/09 spoke w/ Gordon, Still waiting I asked if he thought this was typical or pathetically slow? Should I think this is just a huge scam and a waste of my time? He said that They are processing claims everyday. He knows that they fell into some difficultly but that things are better now. They are paying, he just doesn't know their schedule.
just that we paid a large amount of money for insurance and have been getting the run around for the past 6 months. Yes, they pre approved that repair.

Purchased extended warranty on a used vehicle through a reputable car dealership with Heritage Warranty. Spent $1800. Had a fuel pump go out in Feb 2008 with multiple estimated repairs at $790-900. After filing claim, Heritage refused to pay over $345, that was the max pay out on the fuel pump part. They refused to pay labor. If I waited for them to pay the repair shop the repair shop would keep my vehicle, paid in full $1100 (had a few things extra done) in order to have my vehicle. Repaired in 24 hours. After sending in documentation I was told I would receive a check in 4-8 weeks. This never happened.
I made over 20 phone calls. I was told it was turned over the the insurance company and they would have to pay out in 60 days, didn't happen. After going online and reading about the company being seized in some states and reading others complaints I gave up. I did however receive a check in the amount of $345 in Jan 2009, 11 months later. I was pleased but still urked for the fact that it was 1/3 of the cost of the repair, the fuel pump alone was $700 plus labor and they refused because of some book. I will never reccommend this company to anyone. I have sent multiple letters to the car dealership and insurance depts of the states involved.

Had my car window fall inside of door. Took it to the dealer to get it fixed, had to get preauthoriztion which the dealer said he received. After getting the window fixed I kept getting a bill from the dealer. After 6 months they still have not paid for the repairs. Tried to get a phone number for Heritage through the 800 number on my contract and they say they don't have one. Then after looking for it on the internet I find all these bad complaints. Now I feel like I'm stuck with the bill.
I'm out of and extended warranty which cost $1795.00 plus another $322.00 for the cost of the repairs.

Had RV air repaired. I calledd Heritage and got PO number for $1350.89. I was told to pay for the repair out of pocket and Heritage would reimbuse me. I filed my claim with Hertiage 7/20/08. I called two weeks later and was told my claim was in their payables systems waiting for Hertiage approval. I was told the phone number on my contract was for General Adminstation Office which did AP work and took calls for Heritage. I called for the next two months and got the same answer that their was nothing more they could do for me and I would have to wait. They will not give my any other phone number to call. It has been 4 months and I am still waiting to get my $1350.89 reimbusement.

Service Contract.
I purchased an after the fact contract that has proven to be worthless. I spent $2550.00 for the contract that has refused to pay for transmission repair and a claim for $432.00 for A/C repair. Purchased Extended Service Contract: 3/31/2004For Vehicle: 2001 Chevrolet C2500HD/8.1 Silverado
Name of Company: Heritage
Contract Number: XCHN114781
Term of Contract: 60 Months/100,000 miles
Odometer at time of Contract: 34900
1. First indication of a problem with Heritage happened on 28 November 2005
At 52,744 miles:
I experienced a transmission problem that required a converter drain back kit? that cost me $2313.13.Heritage refused to pay this stating it was an add-on kit? and not a broken part.
According to Heritage the transmission was not broken since a Kit? fixed the problem. That is when I discovered that any parts replacement could be used if
available.
Since the transmission is an Allison Transmission I contacted Allison.Allisons comment was they sell a transmission to GM as is? and take no further
responsibility. Attempts to talk with GM also failed to get anything resolved.
2. My second problem with Heritage happened on 09 June 2008 at 74672 miles:
This was an air conditioner problem. Heritage National Administrative Solutions approved the repair prior to the work. However-at that time I was informed that I would have to pay the entire bill and Heritage would reimburse me after I sent in the claim. This was for $432.00 after the $100.00 deductible.
I submitted my claim on 11 June 2008 and according to National Administrative Solution they authorized payment prior to the end of June 2008. I have of yet (04 November 2008) not received my refund. I have checked several times with National Administrative Solutions and several different people there have told me the claim was authorized for payment but has not yet been paid.
Any phone number you call gets you back to the people that have authorized
the claim and they know NOTHING. They claim to have no number to call to
check on claim payment, they claim to not know who runs their operation, do not know that National Administrative Solutions owns Heritage. The person I recently talked with claimed to not have a supervisor but works for National Administrative Solutions and will not say anything.
Registered letters to all available addresses have been returned as not deliverable.I have researched and found that Car Care L.L.C. who is owned by the same people that own National Administrative Solutions purchased Heritage.
Heritage and or Car Care are to be avoided.

Purchased an extended warranty for my car from Heritage. After getting proper prior authorization for repairs on my car, I have not been reimbursed for services. Their phone numbers have been disconnected. I am now stuck with a worthless $2,450 warranty.
I am out $2,450 for a worthless warranty plus an additional $197.43 for authorized repairs done on my car.

I was aurorized service with authorization # on or about 6/13/08. The repair facility told me to pay the repair amount and I would be re-imbursed by my extended warranty. Well, I have not been paid. I've called numerous times and told that the repair had been processed but I have not been re-imbursed. PLEASE HELP STOP THIS SCAM COMPANY.

In March of 2004 my husband and I purchased an extended warranty for my 2000 Mercedez with Heritage Warranty Mutual. The cost was $5000.00. I had an occasion to use the warranty for a small item (electric window motor) a couple of years into the warranty. At that time, when waiting for payment, I was told they had a "cash flow problem". After manyphone calls they paid Mercedez directly.
In June my mechanic found some problems (axle boots cracked, A/C regulator, and catalytic converter) that needed replacement/work. He called Heritage for authorization. A representative visited the workshop and acknowledged the repairs. A day later a Heritage rep called to say that they would not address the catalytic converter and proceeded to negotiate the price on the remaining items. I was forced to pay out of pocket for the repairs to the repair shop in the amount of $1,083.00. That was June 24th.
My initial phone calls between Kevin P., his supervisor Gordon, and my husband said to allow for a reimbursement time of 6-8 weeks. I began calling the Heritage number for updates on the release of the check in July. I learned that the individuals that we had spoken with on several occasions were acutually administrators for Heritage, and that I had never really reached anyone from Heritage itself.
I tried again today having reached the 8 week turnaround time, and spoke with Gordon. There is still no release date for the check. They have my $5,000.00 for the warranty and I am out an additional $1,083.00 in repairs. I paid my mechanic for the repairs because he was unwilling to wait for payment from Heritage.
I have waited for my reimbursement and have not received any concrete answers as to expected date of release. I pay my bills on time. It has been very difficult not to have that money reimbursed to me. I have financial obligations that I am having difficulty meeting because of this. I feel as though we have been duped to pay for a warranty and not received the expected services for the purchase of the warranty.

My company handles these warranties for our rv customers and this is the third run in i have had with Heritage not paying. Submitted one claim 5 months ago and waited the 2 weeks they said it would take for payment to be mailed and since then i get nothing but a puzzled answer or disconnected number. Looks like the company is in big trouble with many states and insurance agency. How can we protect ourselves and our customers? total rip off. we did the repairs and we sit with the bill? anyone know who or where to find them? almost $3000 owed to us for repairs plus fees

We have our extended warranty on our RV. Then end of May our ABS system went out. We payed the total bill of 4.500.00 dollars they are paying 757.00 of that, I think anyway, we still haven't heard from them. We have called a number of times but can't get anyone to give us an answer to when we will be sent our check. I think 2.5 months is long enough.

Vehicle repaired on 6/17 and claim went to Heritage on 6/21 oer third party administrator and as of 7/30 no check has been cut for reimbursement. We are told on the phone there is no phone number to reach Heritage and there is nothing they can do for us and terminate the call.

When I purchased my 2001 Honda Civic in 2004, I also purchased an extended warranty through Heritage Warranty Services, which I recently had to use after I experienced a mechanical breakdown with my transmission (covered warranty part). I followed the claim filing procedures with Heritage and learned from them that they would only repair my vehicle with salvage yard parts or provide me with a minimal allowance for these same used parts. They also claim that the salvage parts are similar to my transmission but can't definitely provide any accurate documentation of their claims. I subsequently disputed their handling of my warranty claim, which they claim that their ambiguous wording in the contract like kind quality meant salvage yard parts.
As a result of their continuous efforts to avoid paying for the proper method of repairing my vehicle, I had to pay the difference of approx. $900.00 to the cost of a basic transmission rebuild.
Heritage Services unfairly misrepresented themselves by using ambiguous wording in their warranty contract, which I brought to their attention that it also stated, can be of like kind quality and not required but they feel it's more cost effective to save them money instead of properly repairing my vehicle.
I unfortunately had to spend additional amount of money in order to repair my vehicle, which I came as a total unexpected expense for me. Especially since I thought I already had the proper warranty coverage when I purchased my vehicle.
