Town & Country Auto Transport

Aidharth of Torrance CA (6/16/04):
I had scheduled with Town and Country Auto Transport (www.move-auto.com) to move my car from Ohio to California. I paid the initial advance of $200 (Total = $865) in the month of May (May first week), and my car was to be picked up on the fourth of June. Since I had booked so early, the customer service personnel assured me of a timely pickup and delivery.

Today is the 17th of June, I am in CA, my car is still in Ohio. After about 100 calls, and that is not an exaggeration, the answer they give me is they don't know, when my car will be picked up. On my protesting, the customer service rep tells me he's trying his best and puts me through to dispatch who handles shipment. The dispatch is rude and does not give me a straight answer. I complain to them about covering for my rental expenses, and they say it's not in their policy.

I ask them if i can cancel and book with some other company, and they tell me I have to forgo my advance. Now I am stuck, with no car, Town and Country not paying for my rental and absolutely terrible service. I have left 10 messages with the operator, and no one has bothered calling back. The website provides an online contact form, which I have filled and no one has replied. I have not been put through to any senior managers.

Oh yeah, Last Friday, thats 11th June, they told me my car would be picked up on Saturday or Monday. It's Thursday today, almost two weeks since when my car should have been picked up, and I still don't know when they will pick it up.
