Dynamic Pet Products

Maureen of Gladstone, MO August 16, 2009

I bought a "Real Ham Bone" made by Dynamic and a few hours later my dog was throwing up and yelping when he had a bowel movement. I decided to google the product and found out this has happened to a lot of pets.

This product needs to be taken off the shelf. How many dogs have to die first. Luckily, my dog will be ok. I bought it for him thinking that it would be safe and unfortunately the product isn't.

I have bought plenty of these bones. I have a rottie and he eats one a day for past year and has never had any problems with them. He will not eat the smoked bones with the dried meat on them. I just wanted to let people know that all dogs do not get sick from the bones. He is perfectly healthy at 110 pounds and perfect size for him. xavier is doing great and looks forward to his bone treat everyday

I bought a Real Ham Bone made by Dynamic Pet Products of Missouri from Walmart. The label says it is made with 100% Food Grade Ingredients and it isn't made from China . My dog was in the prime of life and had NO health issues. I thought that meant that this would make a good treat for my dogs. Boy was I wrong.

Trace, my dog, enjoyed chewing on this bone. It did not splinter or anything, in fact there is quite a large piece of it still left. Then in the evening she started vomiting. She spent the next day at a veterinarian's office where she was diagnosed with a blockage of the colon. That night she endured a 4 hour surgery at Brandon Veterinary Specialists where the vet picked out small round pellets of the bone, up to the size of about a b-b. The next morning she was moved to Florida Veterinary Specialist critical care unit. Again in the evening she had another 2 hour surgery, because the blockage had caused poison in her body. She passed away at 4:30 the next afternoon.

I now know of at least 4 other deaths caused by this product and many more injuries.

My dog is dead and I have been emotionally affected. My vet bills were 14,000.

I wish to report that this company which makes a dog bone called The Real Ham Bone had caused death and many illiness to our beloved dogs. If you google real Ham bones you will find many people who had a really bad experience with this product. So far the company doesn't want to except responsibility that they have a defective product on their hands. Myself and others have asked for their vet bills to be covered.

So far their insurance company has refused to cover other peoples bills, claiming that it was the fault of the owner for buying their product and giving it to their dogs. Isn't that what Dynamic Pet Products is in in the business for to sell dog bones to the consumer?

I have just been interviewed by an insurance investigator and given him the cost of my dogs' vet bills. totaling approx. 3,909.00. That's all I want is for the company to pay my vet bills. Thank you
