Allied Interstate

donna of charlotte, NC February 28, 2010

this company called my home on a average of 10-15 times a day Monday-Sunday. Never leaving a message, When I have picked up te phone I let them now stop calling this is a form of haressment and they are in voilation of the fair credit act and the rep hangs up.

Cynthia of Fresno, CA February 16, 2010

This company has been calling my in-laws trying to track me down for what they claimed was an unpaid credit card debt. I know I don't have any unpaid debts, so we checked my credit reports to make sure no one had taken out a credit card in my name. Nothing on any of the three major agences. So we then called the company to talk to them. They made the claim again and were very rude and intimidating even after we told them they were mistaken.

They then offered to "settle" the debt with us for less than the amount owed, or they would take legal action. We told them we were confident in our situation and to do what they had to do. We suspected that this might be a scam, so I did some checking and found they have quite a history for this kind of stuff. I just wanted to add my experience to the list. Maybe if enough people report them, something will be done.

This company is harassing me on my home line and cellular phone. They say I owe Capital One money, and I need to validate my personal information. I stated that I believe this is a scam, and they hang up on me. I called all my credit card companies, and every one of them has a zero balance, and all in good standing. The call me early in the morning, and late at night. The calls are nasty and relentless. They either have the wrong person, or this is a phishing scam. I clearly told them they have the wrong person, but they will not listen.

This is a collection agency that has continually harassed my mother by calling her telephone number several mornings in a row. My mother is a senior citizen who has been suffering from stenosis and she has trouble sleeping. Therefore, phone calls at 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. in the morning have awakened and startled her when she is trying to catch up on her rest.

I called them and told them that this phone number is no longer valid and that I currently have no phone number because I am traveling overseas. In addition, the cell phone number 787- is not my phone number. Please contact them and make sure they do not call these numbers. Thank you so much for your assistance.

With letter of 5/26/09 AlliedInterstate notified me that on behalf of DirecTV they were to collect a disputed amount of 304.14. I informed them in detail that I do not owe any moneys to DirecTV. Instead of replying to my letter, AlliedInterstate sent me a second note dated 6/26/09 threatening to report me to the credit bureaus (TRW/Experian, Equifax and Transunion) if I dont pay within 10 days.

Brtual abuise phone calling, also from numbers that leave a msg, numbers that are blocked but leave a msg as for you or your attorney, as call us back, different ext's each time., threaten to go into my personal accounts to find assets, others come from 312-265-7830, and leave threats as being special investigators, and threaten court proceedings..those people stole 564 dollars from me in 2007 when I was working for a bill my EX husband owed over 10 years ago, they claimed that since they couldnt find him I was responsible, I have been divorced since 2000.

They said that 564 was a settlement and that the Company no longer existed but the claim was being filed by the company that bought them out..! Other numbers come on my cell either dont leave anything or some vague, chopped up recording..its been a Nightmare of terrorist activies by pnone, I am a former service member and I am Unemployed!!!

Sandra of Cape May Court House, NJ October 23, 2008

Sandra of Cape May Court House NJ (10/23/08)
This company was hired to collect a debt which my husband and I incurred. Allied Interstate was hired by Embarq a telephone company located in Cape Coral, Fl. We failed to pay a debt in the amount of 149.00 which I was unaware of. Instead of contacting me directly, they somehow acquired the phone number of my Mother-in-law, who lives in NJ. My Mother-in-law's phone number was never given to this company for any purposes. Allied Interstate subsequently began to harass my Mother-in-law by making repeated phone calls to her.

They would not give her any information as to why they were calling her, and what the purpose of the debt collection was. My Mother-in-law is 78 years old, and should not have been subjected to such harassment, especially when the debt did not pertain to her. I want to know how this company obtained my Mother-in-law's phone number, and why they would take it upon themselves to harass an old lady for a 149.00 debt.

This debt has been paid, and a request was made to Allied Interstate to remove my Mother-in-law as a contact person. Harassment to a person of no connection to a debt request.
