Aspire Visa

Aspire Visa
FTC Sues CompuCredit
Aspire Visa to Pay $11 Million to New York Consumers
Consumer Complaints

della of ft.lauderdale, FL February 28, 2010

I had a account with Aspire and they closed my account with my knowledge as well as the account was open in 2004 and my interest rate was 9.9% and now its 2010 and it is 27.50% and they still continued to submit negative information to the credit agencies as if I closed the accont .When there offices was the one that actually closed it

One year later I informed them that i was unemployed and i asked if they could decrease my intrest rate and lower my payment. I was told in order to decrease my payment the account could not be current. Then i became unable to make the payment on timeI was then placed on a plan of 39.00 a month ounce i made the first payment and they started callin to harass me to bring my acct current. Before the payment plan will take affect. Because of this it has caused my credit score to drop nearly 75% and the increase of the interest rate and the late fees makes it impossible to pay the balance off.

Cuenitha of Victorville, CA February 26, 2010

Aspire Visa Credit Card company has been practicing has been applyng frivious charges to a credit account that has been closed. They notified me that they were closing my account around the time the FTC filed a lawsuit against Compucredit and have since then been applying offer the limit credit fees, late fees, interest and maintanence fees on a closed account. I wanted to pay the account off.

But every time I receive a statement there is always additional frivolous charges applied to scam the consumer. I would like to file a class action against them for their fraudelent credit card practices. They have also reported two accounts on my credit report causing my score to be lowered when I only had one account with them. I need help in filing a class action lawsuit against them. My credit score has been affected as a result of Aspire reporting two accounts on my credit file instead of one

Brazita of Union, NJ February 25, 2010

My account was closed several months ago. I had a balance on the card that I was paying down. Meanwhile, my account number was changed with out my knowledge and when I tried to pay my account online, the system asked for my account number. I was late making my payment and they put it on my credit report. I want to pay this card off in full but I want the late payment removed from my credit report. Since it was their fault. I was told no way. I told them that I will find a lawyer and put together a class action lawsuit against them.

Look Aspire want more fee now: By clicking "Make payment" you understand and agree that there is a 9.95 fee for making payments online that will be deducted directly from your checking or savings account on the date of your scheduled payment. Please be aware that you may see two transactions on your checking or savings account.

Bert of San Francisco, CA February 11, 2010

I have 11 credit cards, and by far, Aspire is the worst. If you have these cards, I am sure you know what I am saying and should write your local congress person and file a complaint. They change the agreement without notice and at any time. Additionally, they will charge you 9.95 to pay electronically. If you have any sense at all, please DO NOT ALLOW yourself to be taken by these two card companies. You will pay a huge cost to do business with these xxxxx.

scherie of chicago, IL February 9, 2010

when account was open credit was 300 now on my credit report saying my open line credit was 2,200.00 that is not true. Try to resolve this matter professionally, on my report the information is inaccurated, unverifiable, imcompleted therefore aspire visa to remove this from credit files, customer law from my understanding the company is no more if they close every one account. want this matter settle in 30 days or i will notify my lawyer.

Rochelle of Philadelphia , PA February 7, 2010

In 2005 I paid off my Aspire Visa card via settlement. Needless to say they were very difficult to deal with prior to this. Now I find on checking my credit reports they was continued to submit negative information to the credit reporting agencies. The most recent in November 2009 claiming late payments. How can I be late on a closed, paid off account?

karen of las vegas, NV February 3, 2010

Terrence, don't be fool, investigate or bring a consumer lawsuit? Those "BIG STUFF" will need fund rise or political donation at election time, Would they back up us or those BANKERS? Just pay ASPIRE as I do. I guess

Terrence of Bakersfield, CA January 31, 2010

Someone needs to investigate or bring a consumer lawsuit aganst Aspire Visa. This company appears to be conducting illegal and certainly unethical conduct. See the many comments in the consumer affairs section. A class action lawsuit appears to be needed. Need help.

Janet of Moorhead, MN January 28, 2010

I have had this account with Aspire and they closed all their accounts last year. I have been making my payments online for a fee of 4.95 charged on the card which I did not like but it was cheaper than a late charge because I had 5 days to make a payment after I received my bill and it would take 8 days to get to them. They now as of Jan 2010 are charging my bank when I make a payment online a fee of 9.95 which was never disclosed to me and I have contacted my bank in reference to the charge. How can they get by with charging my bank a fee for making a payment on and account they closed, not just for me but for all their customers?
